Interviewing Mr. Wing

Preparing for the Interview

For each option make your choice(s) on the form following this section. When you have finished, review your choices and make any changes. If you do not remember what the options are, select the area that you wish to review on the table to the right of the form. Once you are satisfied with your choices, click on the Begin Interview button. When you have finished making notes from the interview, click on the Back button on your browser and leave the interview. If you wish to skip the instructions, you may go directly to the form.

On what stage of the project are you currently working?

  1. Pre represents the preliminary investigation stage
  2. Ana represents the analysis stage

What are you wearing to the interview?

There are three choices for wearing apparel, select one:

  1. Suit represents formal business wear
  2. Semi represents semi-formal business wear, such as pants and shirt (without tie for males)
  3. Casual represents casual wear, such as jeans and shirt

How are you recording the interview?

There are three choices for recording the interview, select one:

  1. Notes refers to taking written notes
  2. Audio refers to using a tape recorder, and taking written notes
  3. Video refers to taking filming the interview with a video camera, and taking written notes

Where are you meeting?

You have three choices of where to meet, select one:

  1. CBIS refers to your desk in the CBIS office building
  2. Desk refers to the desk, or workspace of the person you are interviewing
  3. Bread refers to a desk at the Bread Basket, other than the desk, or workspace of the person you are interviewing

How will you begin the interview?

You may select as many of the options as you wish, however, you must select at least one option:

  1. Intro refers to you introducing yourself to the interviewee
  2. Explain refers to explaining to the interviewee why you are conducting the interview, and what the project is about
  3. Descrb refers to describing what you already know of the interviewee's function to the interviewee at the beginning of the interview
  4. Coop refers to asking the interviewee's boss/supervisor to request the cooperation of the interviewee prior to the interview
  5. Talk refers to asking the interviewee's boss/supervisor about the interviewee's function prior to the interview

If you have decided not to conduct an interview at this time, or you have finished the interview, you may leave or pick up the phone.
