Often used when
there is no instructor or class available, with no thought as to what style
of training would be most effective.
There is some very good CBT out there, and some very bad CBT. Most of us do not know how to evaluate CBT
properly. We need to take the time to
research before throwing it into the classroom. Ensure that the CBT actually meets the
objectives it states it does, and ensure it meets the learning outcomes you
need. Because CBT is often populated
with mini-quizzes, students often do well on the final quiz upon completion
of the CBT. Like any training, we need
to evaluate retention a month or so after completion to see what was really
learned.
